Flyers with US budget carrier JetBlue can now buy themselves speedy access through security lines, an idea which could catch on further afield.
At select airports, passengers who purchase the “even more speed” package will be able to use dedicated lanes, or those reserved for premium passengers, to ensure they pass through security checkpoints faster than the rest.
Although many airports around the world offer a premium security package sold by a third party, such as Privium at Schiphol and London Heathrow‘s “Fast Track” program, an airline bundling the service with a flight is an interesting development.

Passengers looking for the best inflight experience would be wise to stick with the Virgin brand, if the gongs handed out in a recent award ceremony are anything to go by.
Last week, the Airline Passenger Experience Association’s (APEX) annual Passenger Choice Awards lauded both V Australia and Virgin America for providing the “Best Overall Passenger Experience”, in the small and large airline categories respectively.
The awards are based on an online survey conducted earlier this summer, in which passengers were asked to evaluate their aviation experiences.

JetBlue is bringing back its popular All-You-Can-Jet pass, which allows anyone to travel to an unlimited number of cities over a one-month period.
The “All You Can Jet” pass is being offered for travel between Sept. 7 and Oct. 6.
There are two price tiers: an unlimited pass for $699 or a $499 pass that excludes travel on Fridays and Sundays.
The passes are being issued during a traditionally sluggish travel period wedged between the summer vacation and winter holiday seasons.

A cadre of senior management from airlines that changed the rules in commercial aviation are now expecting to change the way people own and operate private jets.
Through JetSuite, private jet owners can fly their planes whenever they want and yet still receive $25,000 per month in return for allowing the company to charter the aircraft out to others during any downtime.
JetSuite was founded by Alex Wilcox, one of the founding team members at JetBlue Airways.
