Canova Dual Screen Laptop possesses two screens, a multi sensitive touch screen and is very easy to use. Not only can it be used to handle your daily computing tasks but it also lets you read articles on your laptop in the old-school newspaper fashion.

2. Vaio Zoom

The Vaio Zoom notebook takes everything we know about holographic technology and squeezes it inside a thin glass form factor. When off, the screen is completely transparent and the keyboard goes opaque. Turn it on and the touchscreen holographic festivities begin. Even the mouse buttons are holographic!

3. DesCom

Sung-kyu Nam’s DesCom laptop integrates into the desktop surface. And what do you have to do once the laptop is dead or should be repaired?

4. MacTab

Being portable, MacTab is the complement to MyBook in the high-end. The thin wireless keyboard is used as a protection cover for transportation. On the back of the computer a hinge allows it to be put in a vertical position so you can use it on your desk.

5. LG Ecological Laptop Concept

LG introduced e-Book, an ecological laptop concept that uses fuel cell batteries and features organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display technology. This concept notebook received a Red Dot Award nomination for “Best Concept Design”.

6. Compenion Laptop Concept

Felix Schmidberger’s Compenion laptop has a OLED touch screen. The computer itself has an OLED touchscreen, where you can directly work on, much like with a umpc or pda.

The whole screen is a slider, as it can be moved forward to reveal a second OLED touchscreen underneath, where you can have a keyboard or working controls, similar to a setup with 2 monitors.

7. Samsung Amoled Concept

AMOLED concept notebook by Samsung features a unique design which is thin and sleek and a touch-sensitive keyboard which lacks tactile feedback.

8. Satellite Navigation Laptop

Satellite Navigation Laptop is Nikita Golovlev’s concept for travelers. Using an e-ink display, the ‘Traveller’ is a GPS enabled navigation system for pedestrians. The design incorporates an internal drive for storing any photos you take along the way and will tag the with GPS data, so you know just where you took them.

9. Canvas Laptop Concept

Canvas is a futuristic concept laptop that is supposed to provide a better quality for the designer and also its said that it will raise the productive rate of the artist. It will feature a very thin touchscreen and the other components will look just about the same but they will be better adjusted.

MacBook 0801 is a laptop concept by Isamu Sanada. The keyboard is transparent and ultra-thin.

Use the pedal to turn digital sheet music or just touch the screen. It also throws in some computer functions by allowing on the fly scoring, note taking, and collaborative writing. When you need a real computer, a keyboard slides out from underneath the screen and use the foot pedal as a stereo to enjoy the music you just played. Designed by Sungho Lee.

A set of gold earphones have been placed on display in at Clive Ranger jewelry shop Bristol. Designed by renowned Belgium based jeweler Casa Gi, the listening devices are made from 18 carat gold, encrusted with 118 of the highest quality diamonds and give a crystal clear sound.

Each earphone contains 59 diamonds that have been individually set in the gold, giving a sparking appearance. The total weight in gold is 18 grams making them a fair bit heavier than a standard plastic pair. But makers claim they are just as comfortable and give excellent sound quality.

The earpieces are attached to a white wire with a standard jack that fits into most MP3 players and computers.

Richard Slack, managing director for the firm, said: “They are attracting a lot of attention but as of yet we haven’t found a buyer. I think they are aimed at fairly extrovert people, maybe a sports star or someone in the acting profession - they are the ultimate in bling.”

The sparkling earphones, which are thought to be the most expensive in the world, have now gone on sale for £3,499 (approximately US $5,150).

KEF, renowned British manufacturer of audiophile-quality speakers, has unveiled MUON, a distinctively new loudspeaker that features audio innovation and a cutting-edge, ultra-modern design. The central aim of the MUON project was to create the ultimate in sound technology and design innovation.

The MUON loudspeaker is made from super-formed aluminum, which uses a similar molding process to vacuum forming. Malleable sheets of heated aluminum were used to achieve otherwise impossible shapes. The eventual form of the loudspeaker was the result of a careful convergence between Ross Lovegrove’s design aesthetics and the physics of sound. The process by which it was conceived meant that, in effect, Ross Lovegrove was sculpting the sound by ’skinning’ the technology with purposeful form.

KEF has also used its Acoustic Compliance Enhancement technology, which enables them to effectively double the available volume through adsorption of air molecules by activated carbon, or ‘magic dust’. The two additional bass drivers mounted on the back of MUON help to produce a remarkably clean and open sound by dealing with room effects. Finally, the 6mm thick, heavily damped aluminum shell provides a totally rigid structure that minimizes any sound-distorting vibrations.

Measuring 380mm in depth, 600mm in width, 2000mm in height and finally weighing a 115kgs. these ultra-exclusive speakers took about a week’s time to achieve their desired look and shape. They will be limited in production to just 100 pairs and will be sold in only 10 cities worldwide, including New York and Los Angeles and allegedly they sell for $110,000.

According to Yanko Design, Apple may soon add an iBangle to its army of i-ness

The aluminum bangle will feature a trackpad so your finger can slide and tap its way through your music. There’s no screen, but designer Gopinath Prasana figures you can navigate just fine with an audio-oriented navigation system. As for the earphones, forget about it! The audio sound is transmitted via wireless earbuds!

Worried about fit? You see that blue inner band? Push a tiny button on the side and it fills with air, expanding to fit snugly around your wrist, particularly helpful if you’re taking it on a run or hike.

The iBangle currently exists in concept only and It might take a few years for this iBangle design concept to end up on your wrist.

Fashion designer vivenne tam was invited by hewlett packard to create a special edition notebook. Looking more like a ladies purse than a computer the notebook features a peony floral print on top of a red background.

The peony has a unique blend of Asian and Western cultures, ancient and modern, technology and fashion.

It was inspired by Vivienne Tam China Chic style recognized from the runways in Milan, for the Olympic Games in Beijing and represents his personal mantra to live well and be beautiful.
