Hawker Beechcraft has launched its own advertising campaign to counter the negative publicity currently swirling around business aviation, referring directly to that terrible day on Capitol Hill.

Chairman and CEO Jim Schuster recently blamed the growing negative attention on the industry for helping to intensify the volatility in the marketplace.

“The media and some politicians have cast general aviation as a wasteful extravagance instead of a critical business tool and the source of millions of American jobs,” he said.

The Hawker 450XP is the latest jet from Hawker Beechcraft and is the successor to the highly acclaimed Hawker 400XP. Based on the interior of the 900XP, it’s the most comfortable, most elegant and best equipped cabin ever offered in a light jet !

The Hawker 450XP also features significant improvements over the 400XP including a completely redesigned cabin and infotainment system, the Cabin Management System Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21, allowing individual passengers to utilize their personal electronic device of choice to catch up on work or enjoy a customized in-flight entertainment system.

The plane uses the new Pratt & Whitney PW535D turbofan engines which provide ten percent better fuel efficiency and a longer range.

Described by the company as “the world’s most advanced business jet,” the $21 Million Hawker 4000 Business Jet is the first plane to offer big-jet safety and technology features at a midsized-jet price.

After a 20-year, $1 billion development process, Hawker Beechcraft has held a delivery ceremony at its Wichita headquarters to hand over the first production version of the Hawker 4000 business jet.

It has a range of 3,280 nautical miles, that’s coast to coast or New York to London nonstop, which is pretty usefull unless you want to refuel in Greenland en route to London ^_^

Hawker Beechcraft, the business jet spinoff of Raytheon has released their latest jet, the Premier II.

Evolving from the successful Premier IA, the Premier II will feature higher cruise speeds, a 20 percent longer range with four passengers and an increased payload… while still offering the largest cabin and most technologically advanced single-pilot business jet in the world.

The Premier II will be a twin turbofan, swept wing, light jet aircraft featuring a high-strength, state-of-the-art all-composite fuselage that allows for a medium-jet sized cabin at light jet costs.

The planes will use new FJ44-3AP turbofan engines from Williams International which offer more than 23 percent more thrust from the Premier IA (and have lower emissions than those of the Premier I). Combined with new elliptical winglets which offer reduced drag, the new engines let the business jets hit a maximum cruising altitude of 45,000 feet and fly farther.

The Hawker Beechcraft Premier II is expected to be put into service in 2010 with orders being taken at present.
