Louis Vuitton announces their new Louis Vuitton Voyages exhibition, which opened on May 31st at the National Museum of China in Beijing, with this animated video.
The “Louis Vuitton – Voyages” exhibition retraces the crowning moments in the history of the Maison, which since 1854, has beautifully paired form with function, creating travel items that bear witness to the French lifestyle.
The Louis Vuitton Voyages exhibition runs at the National Museum until August 30. Admission to the museum is 10 yuan.

A selection of cars owned by fashion legend Ralph Lauren will go on display in Paris this week, in a unique exhibition of one of the world’s most distinctive collections.
Ralph Lauren, who famously described cars as “moving art” in his 2004 book Speed, Style and Beauty, owns an extensive collection of vehicles which is rarely seen by the public — until now.
Seventeen models selected from the 1930s until the present day will be on display, offering a unique glimpse at the tastes of a major name in the fashion world.

After the John Galliano debacle, Christian Dior can use all the positive publicity it can get, and a new retrospective of its history at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts sets out to bring back the fashion house’s magic.
Opening on April 28, the exhibit showcasing the brand’s 64-year history will not only present its collections over the years — designed by the founder itself as well as the likes of Yves Saint Laurent or Gianfranco Ferré — but also juxtapose them with works of art by Van Gogh or Klimt as well as photographs by Richard Avedon and Man Ray.

Sweden Absolut Art Collection is displayed for the first time in Korea at Gallery Yeh, Garosugil, Sinsa-dong from 12 to 25 April, 2011.
The vodka brand’s Art Collection, a series of interpretations of the Absolut bottle, has been growing since the 80s and feature works by artists including Damien Hirst, Louise Bourgeois and Francesco Clemente.
The Absolut Art Collection has a portfolio of over 800 original collaborations, the first of which was commissioned from Warhol (above) in 1985.

After vowing to increase her presence in the Chinese market a few years ago, Diane von Furstenberg has brought her “Journey of a Dress” exhibit to Beijing.
The display that details her fashion house’s history opened to the public at the Pace Gallery on April 4 after having traveled Moscow and São Paulo, also known as ‘other important emerging markets,’ in the past.
Diane von Furstenberg, who also happens to be chairwoman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, has also announced the release of a new book on designers’ favorite spots around the world, called American Fashion Travel.

Louis Vuitton and Yana Peel hosted an “Art for Baby” opening reception on 18th January 2011 at Espace Louis Vuitton Hong Kong.
The “Art for Baby” exhibition brought together in celebration of the Asia launch of the highly-acclaimed book by the same name.
It showcases the 20th century’s most prolific painters from America, Europe and Asia, with works by Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Julian Ope and Takashi Murakami.
