Christian Dior has released a new short film showing you how to use the brand’s latest products to get the “Golden Flower” winter makeup look.
It all starts with the nails, which feature a jewel manicure duo — a layer of metallic color, topped off with glittering pale gold micro-beads. Moving to the face, an even tone is created with a light beige foundation, followed by Skinflash concealer under the eyes and in any other areas required.
The eyes and lips are the focus of this look, starting with the light gold eyeshadow on the upper eyelid, and a light line under the bottom lash lid.
Black mascara and a dark red lip from the Golden Winter collection add a sexy yet understated edge which is perfect for evenings. The look is then finished with a light brush of blusher across the cheeks.
The Dior Golden Winter collection was released last week, with prices ranging from €25 for the Diorshow Liner up to €74 for the perfumed powder compact.
The Parisian fashion brand has teamed up with upmarket Amsterdam-based lifestyle magazine Fantastic Man for a new series of short dance films.
Titled “Rotation,” the series is composed of five films featuring dancers popping some extraordinary choreography while wearing the latest Fall-Winter 2013 collection from Dior Homme.
Directed by Fantastic Man’s art director Jop van Bennekom, the models are dressed in Dior Homme designer Kris Van Assche’s sporty and minimalist suiting.
Choreographed by Ryan Chappell, who has worked with Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue and Hot Chip among others, the films show off the talents of dancers Rhys Harding, Sep Dashti, Dylan Mayoral, John Jo Ink Pen, and Jai Hickling.

The French couture brand has unveiled the first three images from its latest Lady Dior campaign, starring French actress and style icon Marion Cotillard.
Shot by Tim Walker, the images provide a glimpse of the bags from the 2014 Lady Dior Resort collection, highlighting a pop art feel and combining primary colors with white and black.
The first image shows Marion wearing bright red lipstick and an electric blue dress, which matches the handbag worn around her wrist. The luxury bag is accented with subtle green and purple highlights.
The second photograph presents a more dramatic contrast, showing Cotillard in a black dress against a white and yellow backdrop. At the center of the frame is Dior’s classic bag in graduated colors from bright yellow to red. Cotillard poses barefoot, with her hair slicked back for a refined yet modern look.
An icon of contemporary French cinema, Marion Cotillard is also known for her elegant style, and she has been a Dior brand ambassador since 2008.
Christian Dior has created a new video celebrating its latest accessories, the avant-garde ‘Audacieuse’ sunglasses which debuted in the Fall-Winter 2013 ready-to-wear show.
Dior has released a new one-minute long video showing off the butterfly-inspired shape of the ‘Dior Audacieuse’ design.
In the film the model wears the glasses with a simple Dior bustier top and the makeup look from the Fall-Winter 2013 show: metallic lilac cat-eye liner around the eyes, solid brows, and a pale pink pout.
The glasses’ shape is inspired by a butterfly form with asymmetrical forked temples, gold and black metal frames and white sections at the temple. They’re functional too, with 100% UV protection provided by the gray lenses. The Audacieuse sunglasses sell for €360 in Christian Dior boutiques.

Dior has released new pictures of its latest fragrance campaign starring Hollywood hearthrob Robert Pattison days ahead of the release of the commercial film.
With the full advert set to be unveiled this Sunday (September 1), fans of both the classic Dior fragrance and British actor Robert Pattison, have been treated to another preview of the final images.
The hotly anticipated film, directed by French filmmaker Romain Gavras (who has shot award-winning videos for M.I.A. and Justice among others), is part of a total rethink of the Dior Homme aesthetic, which was previously represented by fellow Brit actor, Jude Law.
Accompanied by a quote by James Dean — “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today,” Dior describes the images as “a whole new dynamic and smoldering mood.”
One of the images, showing Pattinson carrying his blonde co-star (rumored to be French model Camille Rowe), now has over 10,000 ‘likes’. We’ll have to wait until Sunday for the final film though.
Dior called upon Belgian fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre to shoot its Fall/Winter 2013-2014 menswear campaign, entitled “The Players.” The images, which feature both traditional and futuristic elements, provide a glimpse into the new collection designed by artistic director Kris Van Assche.
The futuristic looks worn by the models provide a striking contrast with the highly traditional setting of a gentlemen’s club, complete with oak paneling and leather club chairs.
This contrast centers the viewer’s attention on the clothes from the latest Dior Homme collection, which is inspired by the brand’s classic pieces and updates them with a contemporary, even futuristic style.
Black suits and monochromatic shirts and coats are among the star pieces of this collection.
Titled “An Aura of Mystery,” the Parisian luxury house has unveiled its latest advertising campaign.
With confrontational stares and powerful, self-possessed poses, this season’s Dior woman is dressed in Raf Simons’s thoroughly modern reimagining of the first half of the 20th century. Photographed by fellow Belgian Willy Vanderperre, the domestic setting also comes with an Art Nouveau twist.
Daria Strokous, Mariacarla Boscono, Elise Crombez and Iselin Steiro model the clothes, which seem to pick their way through the fashion archives.
The pieces in the shoot include 1920s-style straight dresses, the classic 1947 Dior ‘Bar jacket’ and a reworked version of the Arizona coat, created by the couturier back in 1948.
As part of the LVMH ‘Journées Particulières,’ Dior opened up the brand’s salons at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris to show off the historic artisan techniques that go into their products. This short film explores some of the action in the haute couture, shoemaking and leatherworking ateliers.
Robert Pattinson has been named as the latest face of Dior Homme fragrance. The 27-year-old British actor will star in a new campaign for the brand set to hit magazines and TVs soon.
“Today we are excited to announce that he will join the privileged circle of Dior faces. Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan),” said Dior in a statement picked up by the Telegraph today.
The fashion house shared the photo (seen above) via Twitter, saying it was “delighted” to be working with the “Twilight” star.
The rumors of the collaboration first emerged last year, with sources close to the star reporting that he had signed a $12 million contract to replace fellow actor Jude Law as the face of the fragrance.
For the next two weeks Dior is collaborating with nail expert Sophie Harris Greenslade (of The Illustrated Nail) on exclusive new nail designs at the Harrods department store in London.
As part of the ongoing Dior at Harrods event, Dior is offering clients the chance to pimp their nails with four new designs by The Illustrated Nail, inspired by Raf Simons’ first Spring-collection for the house.
Trained as an illustrator, Harris Greenslade is becoming one of the big names to watch in nail art design, with her quirky creations and precise skills with a paint brush, and Dior is calling her work “little mini pieces of art on each fingernail.”
The designs take their cue from Raf Simons’s abstract florals, vibrant color-blocking and shimmering organza effects. Appointments with Sophie Harris Greenslade can be booked every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Dior at Harrods until the end of the event, and the price is redeemed against the purchase of two Dior beauty products.
Dior has created two new exclusive Vernis nail polishes for the occasion: a soft pink ‘Diorling’ tone (the name echoes the brand’s 1963 perfume) and a deep grey metallic ‘Windsor’ color. Both sell for £18.00 (€21) each, exclusively at Harrods.
Famed French luxury brand Christian Dior is set to re-stage its Spring 2013 haute couture show for buyers and press in Shanghai, China on March 30.
For the first time since Belgian designer Raf Simons took over as creative director, the brand will be returning to mainland China and the country’s couture customers will be hurriedly booking appointments in the days following the show to place their orders.
The move isn’t a particular suprise: back in January Christian Dior CEO Sidney Toledano noted that China was the “big market of tomorrow” as the brand looks to expand its haute couture client base.

From March 16 to April 14 the celebrated Knightsbridge store Harrods, will be tranformed as part of a month-long feast of Christian Dior mixing “French Savior Fair and British charm”.
The store windows will be transformed into classic Dior grey and white. Traditional bright-red post boxes and telephone cabins take center stage, and Dior’s creative director, Raf Simons has also designed costumes for the shop’s Beefeaters.
‘The Stars in Dior’ exhibition will show off the real dresses worn by Hollywood starlets including Emma Watson, and Oscar winning actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Marion Cotillard.
The fourth floor at Harrods will host the “ultimate Dior experience”, which opens a reconstruction of the facade of the Dior flagship at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Visitors are then able to explore displays and exhibits featuring some of the brand’s most famous handbags, accessories and fragrances.

Luxury French fashion house Dior has unveiled the shots and the making-of of its Miss Dior Spring 2013 Campaign with Jennifer Lawrence.
In the campaign by Willy Vanderperre, she appears dressed in refined outfits posing against a white background. In some shots, she has netting over her face.
Lawrence is very much in-demand at the moment. The lead actress of “The Hunger Games” franchise was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy as well as the Best Actress Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Christian Dior opened its first Australasian flagship boutique in Sydney last week, reflecting continued demand for luxury fashion despite the tough economic climate.
The new store is designed to replicate Dior’s renowned boutique on Paris’s Avenue Montaigne. It is located in the former Louis Vuitton store on the corner of King and Castlereagh streets.
Designed in the style of a grand Parisian apartment, with a dozen distinct rooms, the store spans four storeys and features women’s ready to wear, menswear, timepieces, accessories and fine jewellery.
In recent months, Chanel, Gucci, LV, Prada, Miu Miu, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bottega Veneta have either set up for the first time in Australia, opened in more locations, or rejuvenated existing stores.
