After vowing to increase her presence in the Chinese market a few years ago, Diane von Furstenberg has brought her “Journey of a Dress” exhibit to Beijing.

The display that details her fashion house’s history opened to the public at the Pace Gallery on April 4 after having traveled Moscow and São Paulo, also known as ‘other important emerging markets,’ in the past.

Diane von Furstenberg, who also happens to be chairwoman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, has also announced the release of a new book on designers’ favorite spots around the world, called American Fashion Travel.

This time around, the company is auctioning off three specially designed vehicles on July 17th.

Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein will be designing the Mini Countryman, Diane von Furstenberg the Mini Hatch and Kenneth Cole the Mini Convertible.

Diane von Furstenberg has announced she’ll be teaming up with Claridge’s on her first foray into interior design.

Von Furstenberg, a longtime guest and friend of the hotel, will bring her iconic prints and bold colours as well as original pieces of furniture to the legendary landmark.

“One of my fondest memories was when I was in London as a young, independent businesswoman and stayed at Claridge’s” Diane told WWD.

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is planning on launching her own home collection next year.

Partnering up with home furnishings company Springs, the fashion brand will release bedding as well as table wear and bath accessories in January 2011.

The announcement marks the first freestanding home range for the designer and will be carried by international department stores as well as her website, dvf.com.
