
As part of its 2009 collection, Rolex unveils the new Rolex Datejust 36 mm.
In polished steel with either a white or yellow gold bezel emblazoned with 52 diamonds, the new Datejust 36 mm is a resolutely feminine version that continues the Datejust tradition.
The Datejust 36 mm classic pieces are available in eight different models each featuring exquisite dials (four floral motif dials, two mother of pearl dials and two wave dials).


Mervis Diamond Importers claim to be the first to create a diamond cupcake.
The cupcake is festooned with eight ideal cut round brilliant diamonds around its circumference and a two carat Asscher cut diamond in the center for a total value of $30,000.
Mr. Mervis hopes the dazzling dessert will be listed as the world’s first diamond cupcake in the Guinness Book of Records.



The Harry Winston Opus Series, initially introduced in 2001 and based on the successful collaboration with most gifted independent watchmakers, has been joined by a new innovative masterpiece – Opus 9.
In Opus 9, diamonds are not merely a decorative element, but the functional element of time telling. Teamed up for the 9th Opi is master watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederecht and haute designer Eric Giroud.
Replacing the traditional watch hands and cyclical dial, time is displayed by two parallel diamond chains, for hours and minutes.

Nivea Visage has launched a special diamond encrusted jar of their Expert Lift Cream. All proceedswill go to the from the sale of this special edition jar Breast cancer care charity, which helps support women in difficult times.
The jar is encrusted with 441 ethically sourced white diamonds set in stunning white gold and has been tailor-made to crown any jar of NIVEA Visage Expert Lift Day or Night Cream.
The blingtastic edition of Nivea’s classic moisturiser will be auctioned off at a charity dinner next month, and is expected to fetch £80,000 ($120,000).


Businessman Angelito Araneta Jr, 21, commissioned his catering service to create a chocolate cake topped with 15 African diamonds and covered with 24-karat gold leaf.
Mr Araneta says he plans to sell the cake in Manila at 124,000 pesos ($13,480) to men for use as a marriage proposal gift.

On March 23rd, online jewelry retailer Bidz.com will auction off a gold and diamond tiara designed by the late Gianni Versace to benefit the Aid for AIDS charity, with an opening bid of $699,000 US Dollars.

The one-of-a-kind tiara, which contains over 1,200 diamonds and is worth an estimated $3 million, has been worn by celebrities including Madonna, Amber Valletta and Donatella Versace.
The Versace Tiara, also known as the Tiara, won the prestigious De Beers Diamonds International Award in 1995.
