Bvlgari Unveils a New Chapter in the B.zero1 Collection

Bvlgari Unveils a New Chapter in the B.zero1 Collection

It’s not at all difficult to see how Rome has inspired Bvlgari. For over 130 years, the Eternal City has played an integral role in defining Bvlgari – imbuing the brand with its rich history and unmistakable Italian identity. To wit, it was the Colosseum, the capital’s historical landmark, that gave rise to one of Bvlgari’s most iconic creations: the B.zero1.

First unveiled in 1999, the B.zero1 ring was the most revolutionary of its kind with its audacious and striking three-dimensional design. Featuring a broad central band encircled by two flat rings engraved with the Bvlgari double logo, the B.zero1 merged luxury with unconventionality to push the boundaries of traditional jewellery-making.

Over the years, the B.zero1 has displayed the uncanny ability to evolve with the times, undergoing numerous reinventions such as 2010’s transformation by renowned sculptor Anish Kapoor and Zaha Hadid’s much-lauded B.zero1 Design Legend collection last year. And now, Bvlgari breaks the rules of jewellery design yet again with its latest incarnation, the B.zero1 Labyrinth.

Like its predecessors, the new B.zero1 is modelled after the Colosseum as a symbol of strength and character. But more than that, the B.zero1 Labyrinth also reflects the Bvlgari way of life: reinventing the rules and living life in the most authentic way possible. Its most distinguishing feature are its captivating curves, where rose gold melds with white gold in one ever-changing spiral. The B.zero1 Labyrinth comes in four variations: a bold four-band ring in white and rose gold – also available with pavé diamonds – and two pendant necklaces available with or without pavé diamonds.

“B.zero1 represents my powerful side, the one that proclaims difference in the face of conformity.” – Bella Hadid

Bringing to her charismatic strength to the B.zero1 collection is model and Bvlgari muse, Bella Hadid. Strong, individualistic and fiercely independent, Bella is a natural fit with the brand and everything it stands for. She says it best she proclaims: “B.zero1 represents my powerful side, the one that proclaims difference in the face of conformity.”

Bella Hadid and Lily Aldridge show off Bulgari creations in new campaign

Bella Hadid and Lily Aldridge show off Bulgari creations in new campaign

The latest Bulgari’s 2018 major campaign revealed three emblematic collections: B.Zero1, Serpenti and Divas’ Dream, shot by Norwegian fashion photographer and filmmaker Sølve Sundsbø.

Once again, the Italian luxury brand has signed up a string of high-profile cast to show off its creations though a series of campaign shots, starring two bold and confident supermodels, Bella Hadid and Lily Aldridge, who are no strangers to the world of Bulgari.

Lily Aldridge has been a brand ambassador with Bulgari since 2016 and has fronted the high jewellery collections for Serpenti and Divas’ Dream at the recent Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. While American model, Bella Hadid represented Bulgari in 2017 to front its high-end accessories and the “Goldea The Roman Night” fragrance. This year, Hadid will return to the brand as a jewellery ambassador for Bulgari’s B.Zero1 collection.

In the latest 2018 campaign, Bulgari pays homage to women, encouraging them to make their own rules and to think big. It is the same life philosophy that echoes throughout Bulgari creations, synonymous with optimism, prestige and audacity. The campaign shots showed the young woman in leather against a black background, or rocking a glamorous style against a lunar backdrop.
