Gucci have created a limited edition bracelet to help support the relief efforts in earthquake and tsunami ravaged Japan.

Featuring a white-red-white web that recalls the colors of the Japanese flag, the bracelet carries a medal with a message that reads, “Gucci loves you.”

The bracelet will go on sale in Gucci stores throughout Japan tomorrow, followed by worldwide distribution in Gucci flagships stores in Europe, United States and Asia.

A bracelet owned by Wallis Simpson, whose affair with Edward VIII led to his abdication, has sold for a world record-breaking £4.5m ($7m) at auction.

The diamond panther bracelet, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was the most expensive bracelet and most expensive Cartier item to be sold at any auction.

It was one of 20 pieces owned by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor to go under the hammer in the sale, which raised a total of £7,975,550 ($12,417,369m).

The brand is called “bijoux-couture” since her jewelry is comprised of original components and her jewels are incorporated together with fabrics, ribbons, lace, feathers, and other materials.

Tina is currently using a combination of feathers and natural components (such as mother-of-pearl) and the “couture” aspect remains very important to her work.

To celebrate the Universal Exhibition in Shanghai, Chanel is launching the Chanel Shanghai accessories collection inspired by the delights of China.

This limited-edition collection, which includes bracelets, necklaces, handbags and earrings, will debut at Chanel’s five mainland boutiques this May.

Bracelets and rings are unruffled of a series of scrupulously crafted components that replicate the scales of a snake.

The collection is made of yellow and white gold with scales made of onyx, pink coral, mother-of-pearl, lavender jade or encrusted with diamonds.
