Madonna opens Hard Candy fitness centers

Pop singer Madonna is opening a chain of fitness centers around the world to be known as Hard Candy Fitness global gyms.

The first gym opens in Mexico City on November 29, with Madonna planning to attend the launch.

The first Hard Candy Fitness center is “a beautiful and uniquely designed 30,000 square foot space” (9,100 square meters) in the Bosque de las Lomas area of Mexico City, states the release.

Hilton launches Eforea spa

Global hotel chain Hilton has announced that it is to follow competitor Sheraton in revamping its global spas.

The brand, which operates 123 spas around the world and has another 80 under construction, says that its new “eforea” spas will “bring balance and wellness to the body and take guests on a transformative journey of the senses.”

In an attempt to broaden the appeal of the spas, Hilton has opted to add a “Men’s Journey,” which comprises “goal driven treatments” such as body repair and a heated bamboo massage, as one of three signature offerings.

John Galliano will be collaborating with famous Parisian pastry café Ladurée to release limited edition macarons.

The Dior designer’s macaroons – which come in boxes of either 6, 12, or 18 – pay tribute to his new perfume Parlez-Moi d’Amour.

He chose rose and ginger flavors and created a limited edition box featuring references to the new fragrance.

World’s Most Expensive Mansion

India’s richest man, and Forbes’s fourth richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has built the world’s most expensive house in Mumbai. It is estimated to be worth $1 billion.

The 37,000-square meter home, which took seven years to build, is bigger than the Palace of Versailles, London’s Telegraph reported.

It contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, at least one studio, a ballroom, guestrooms and a range of lounges and a 50 seater cinema.

Tokyo Mandarin: Yours for a Night and $670,000

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the five-star Mandarin Oriental Tokyo hotel is offering the opportunity to rent the entire property for one night for $670,000.

Under the plan, the entire hotel – 178 guest rooms, all nine restaurants and all spas — would be reserved from 3:00 in the afternoon to noon the next day.

There will also be the option to have a cocktail party for 500 people featuring pastries from an award-winning Japanese pastry chef.
