Launched in 2005 to give recognition to exceptional spas in the Asia region, the AsiaSpa Awards have become a highly anticipated annual event.
Shining a spotlight on the outstanding efforts of individuals and companies within the industry, they are a reflection of Asia’s increasingly sophisticated spa culture.
From an initial 19 categories in the inaugural year, the categories have been increased over the years to 26, including new additions such as Spa Design of the Year, Men’s Product of the Year, and Socially Responsible Spa of the Year, in response to increasing eco and community awareness.

As part of the launch of the inaugural edition of The Miele Guide, the much anticipated first-ever ranked list of Asia’s Top 20 Restaurants was announced at The Miele Guide Dinner on October 31, 2008.
This year, Hong Kong has emerged as the best city in Asia to dine in. Eight restaurants in The Miele Guide’s Top 20 are in Hong Kong.
It is also worth noting that one chef-restaurateur has three restaurants in The Miele Guide’s Top 20. Joel Robuchon (the French chief), once heralded as the world’s greatest chef, is undoubtedly helping to transform Asia’s culinary scene through his restaurants in Hong Kong, Macau and Tokyo.

All 393 guestrooms have stunning Hong Kong skyline views thanks to its prominent location on a small peninsula adjacent to the epicenter of high end Kowloon shopping and entertainment.
The area is right on the commercial waterfront, so instead of luxury yachts you are more likely to look out onto imposingly large freight and cargo ships.

A luxury flat in Hong Kong has sold for 225 million Hong Kong dollars (28.8 million US), the most expensive apartment per square foot ever sold in Asia ($41,000 HKD per square foot), a report in the Sing Tao Daily said.
The 80th floor penthouse has a private swimming pool and spectacular view of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. The 5,497-square-foot (511-square-metre) flat, with its own roof-top terrace, is located in a new complex called The Arch, in Hong Kong’s Kowloon area.
