Armani has released a video teaser for its underwear campaign starring the singer.
Shortly after launching its men’s campain with tennis player Rafael Nadal, Armani has released long-awaited images for its jeans range starring pop star Rihanna.
The singer is taking over from actress Megan Fox for the campaign, with the second batch of images — for the brand’s underwear line — yet to be brought out.
Rihanna is upping her advertising game at the moment, also having just been named the new face of skincare brand Nivea.
Less than a month after announcing its partnership with Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana, e-tailer Yoox has said it is readying an online destination to shop all of Armani’s ranges under one virtual roof.
The new armani.com Online Store “Powered by YOOX Group” will be launched in the second half of 2011.
Rumors were previously swirling when the star tweeted: “U would NEVER guess what I’m doing right now!!! Hint Hint #Armani,” but now it’s official: she will star in the campaign for both lines starting this fall.

The 50-second clip sees Nadal player going shirtless, wearing only Armani’s jeans and briefs. He leans on the wall and a piece of wood, and lies on the wet floor.
The video is made for the clothing line’s Spring/Summer 2011 advertising campaign.
Megan Fox, who is also the face of Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, is reprising her role in the sultry black-and-white images shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
