“Golden Age” is the name of this new, er, product, the world’s first Apple MacBook Air to be fully crystallised with 12,000 “dazzling” Swarovski elements.
The reason it looks so darn shiny is that the crystals are specially coated with 24k gold from underneath so that the transparent crystals can reflect the true gold colour.
Inspired by a traditional Japanese pattern, each “Golden Age” takes a week to create as each crystal is apparently painstakingly applied one at a time on to the hand-painted surface.
With a limited edition of only 20 pieces worldwide this is described as “undoubtedly the ultimate luxury treat for the person who thought they had everything”. Aside from taste or sense, clearly.
The “Golden Age” is getting a CeBIT debut, but will be shown also at Selfridges, Oxford Street, where the department store will sell one of the 20 “Golden Age” notebooks as of 18th March.

iPod integration has become more and more prevalent in the automotive industry, as automakers offer the compatibility on models ranging from subcompacts up to exotic supercars. But this is taking it a step further: a Lamborghini iPhone.
Reports indicate that Asus, the computer company that has previously partnered with the Audi-controlled exotic carmaker on special-edition laptops, will unveil a Lamborghini-branded PDA phone to rival Apple’s iPhone at the CeBit tech show next month in Germany. Little is known at this point, but it is expected to run either the Pro or 6.1 edition of the Windows Mobile operating system and pack WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, a touch screen and a 520 MHz Qualcomm CPU.

This bizarre creation from the U.K.’s Selfridges is a limited edition “designer” iPod Touch, according to Pocket-lint, though said designer is understandably anonymous. It’s encrusted with black Swarovski crystals, hundreds of them, and forms the image of a diamond ring with silver and 24k-plated stones in the center as “a proposal 21st century style.”
This limited edition iPod touch will sell for $1800 and an iPod nano will also on the shelf for $1500. To make the gift even more special, Selfridges and “Bling My Thing” are offering an individual customization service where lovers can also have the names or initials of a loved one added to the design as well as a compilation of their favorite songs uploaded.
