Oscar de la Renta may soon see a new creative director – Peter Copping has left his post at the famed atelier, citing personal reasons.

“After almost two years at Oscar de la Renta, personal circumstances require me to return to Europe. I have loved my time in New York where I hope to return at some point in the future,” Copping said in a statement by the company.

The one-time artistic director at Nina Ricci and Louis Vuitton have tried to fill the big shoes of Oscar de la Renta since his death. However, reception has been underwhelming, with mixed reviews about his abilities in succeeding the hefty role.
