Hailey Baldwin may be straight on the track to larger things soon. As reported on WWD, the model just signed a contract with IMG Models (a division of the IMG Worldwide sports, fashion and media company), whose other talents include Gigi Hadid and Gisele Bundchen. Baldwin’s rise to fame can mainly be sketched through her famous group of friends (including Kendall Jenner and Justin Bieber) and the countless paparazzi running around town snapping their exploits, but she’s been slowly building a modelling career on the side. Now we can safely add her to the list of models to look out for this year

The 19-year-old daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, and niece of actor Alec Baldwin, started modeling at 16. Before that, she was also trained in ballet, working on her pirouettes since age 5.

Standing at 175cm, she lacks the typical stature for the catwalk but she has carved a strong profile in editorials – appearing on Tatler in 2014; making the pages of Miss Vogue, Teen Vogue, and Love Magazine last year; landing the cover of Wonderland‘s April/May 2015 edition; and also fronting L’Officiel Netherlands’s issue of the same month.

With Gigi Hadid, Baldwin seems to have a close working relationship with Tommy Hilfiger. She walked in both his Spring/Summer 2016 and Fall/Winter 2016 shows. She also hit the catwalk for Philipp Plein and Sonia Rykiel. Her biggest mark so far seems to have been Ralph Lauren’s ‘Denim & Supply’ Spring 2016 campaign, in which she stars alongside the Brazilian model Thiago Santos.

With 4.9 million followers on her Instagram, though not exactly the same level of social media fame enjoyed by her supermodel friends, Hailey Baldwin is slowly climbing up in the social stratosphere.
