Ellen DeGeneres is teaming up with Gap Kids on a clothing range with a positive message.

The TV host’s lifestyle brand E.D. is working with Gap on a range of children’s school apparel “designed to help all girls realize they have the power to do extraordinary things.”

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Gap has described the GapKids x E.D. range as “an apparel collection and social movement.” Global President Jeff Kirwan told the publication that the joint venture would allow the label to “champion girls…true to our brand’s heritage, which has long stood for supporting youth in a way that unleashes their potential.”

Ellen seems equally pleased with the collaboration. “I am thrilled that my lifestyle brand, E.D., is partnering with Gap to encourage young girls to pursue their passion, whether it’s math, science, sports or the arts,” she said. “Following my passion allowed me to be exactly who I am today – a talk show host with a vibrant side business as a party mime.”

The GapKids x E.D. collection will start selling on August 17 in Gap stores in the US and online. It will also be available in select stores in Canada, the UK, China and Japan.
