As the 2009 movie “The September Issue” put US Vogue on the Hollywood map, the BBC Two channel has commissioned what it’s calling an “observational documentary series” on the British version.

VOGUE BREAKS OWN RECORD WITH 916-PAGE SEP ISSUE

Two episodes of 60 minutes each are scheduled to air in 2016 — the same year as British Vogue’s centenary — reports WWD.

The documentary is to “explore Vogue’s role and influence as the most commercially successful magazine in the UK,” reads a statement from Lightbox, the production company that’s on the job.

Creative directors and contributors also intend to tackle the question of “what the role of fashion is in the 21st century, why it remains important and how the fashion industry works.”
