Trump Card

Trump Hotels has announced a new loyalty program for its luxury-loving members, promising unique benefits to guests who hand over their Trump Card.

The Trump Card Privilege Program was unveiled by the luxury chain January 25 as a way for Trump to compete with other brands such as Ritz-Carlton and Fairmont, which both offer their own elite loyalty programs.

Unlike its competitors though, the Trump Card is sold on the well-known faces behind Trump, promising access to “once-in-a-lifetime experiences associated with the Trump family and lifestyle.”

These could include a private dinner prepared by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, a round of golf at a Trump club or a stay at the swanky Trump Mar-a-Lago members club, Trump says.

Membership in the program will also mean personalized service, with Trump promising to ensure that the right bottled water type and correct pillow softness are always on hand for guests, as well as late check-out privileges and best available rates.

Trump’s new program comes just one week ahead of the opening of the Trump Toronto, which will welcome its first guests on January 31 as the chain’s second international property, following the opening of the Trump Panama in 2011.

The skyscraper, Canada’s tallest residential building, will offer 261 hotel rooms close to local tourist attractions such as the new Opera House, the Harbourfront, Rogers Centre (formerly the SkyDome) and the Air Canada Centre.
