Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha have just arrived in Spain for a vacation at the luxurious Hotel Villa Padierna, a five-star Ritz-Carlton resort in Marbella.

The Obama ladies won’t be lost for luxury at the resort — it features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an on-site hair salon, a a 21,000-square-foot spa with eight themed baths, two saunas, three golf courses and two tennis courts.

For travelers that want to replicate the Obama’s vacation, Marbella offers a host of luxury options.

The Gran Melia Don Pepe resort, for instance, offers private terraces for all of its rooms, along with marble bathrooms, poolside beds and Dani Garcia’s Michelin-starred restuarant Calima.

Kempinski’s Hotel Bahia Estepona also allows guests to relax in five-star luxury, with an indoor and three outdoor pools, four restaurants and a Royal Suite that contains its own putting green, outdoor bed and professional telescope.

For guests seeking a more intimate destination, the Finca Cortesin resort offers one of the best golf courses in the country (home of the Volvo Match Play Championship) with an exclusive 67 rooms, 61 of which are suites.

Relax at one of the hotel’s four restaurants or enjoy the spa, one of the best in the region, which offers heated massage beds, a snow cave and a chemical-free indoor pool.

For winter sun though, Obama fans may have to change direction — the Obamas spent their Christmas vacation at the luxury Plantation Estate at Kailua beach in Hawaii.
