On December 15 a luxury hotel for dogs is set to open in Freising, near the southern German city of Munich. According to the owners, the “Canis Resort” promises dogs “a feeling of pure luxury” with an “organic feel-good atmosphere.”
So-called “Dog Lodges” can house up to five dogs at any one time and have their own enclosed grassy outdoor area. If the animals fancy stretching their legs a bit more, then they have a further 350 square metres of land at their disposal.
Their personal carer, or “Dog-Sitter”, who pampers them 24 hours a day, takes them to the field, where they can run and jump and play to their hearts’ content.
A rich dog always travels in style. Here, Marco Morosini envisions summer and winter travel with two versions of the Traveling Dog House, both made from baked clayed supported by platinum hardware.
The dimensions of the bag are 54 cm width x 40 cm height x 28 cm depth. And, the pet carrier comes for a price tag of 670 euros (approx. $845).
A luxury £2.5 million Pet Hotel, called Elmtree, has opened its doors as London’s first luxury boarding kennels and cattery and is offering pampered pooches and frisky felines somewhere to stay when their owners go away.
The Enfield establishment was designed by property developer and pet fanatic Ray Fawehimi on the edge of green belt land in the London borough.
Mr Fawehimi, who owns both a cat and dog himself, said he has a vision of opening a guest house for pets so he demolished his house which stood on the site and built the animal hotel.

A take off on the LC2 collection, it’s pretty reasonable priced compared to some of the other “luxury dog beds” out there. The company also makes models under request.
This luxury doghouse was created in 2007 for a sales event at a department store in Tokyo and designed in collaboration with a maker of high-end pet goods. It’s worth3.9 million yen (32,000 dollars).
The most expensive doghouse in the world, large enough for a Chihuahua or terrier, is decorated with 7,600 crystal beads and has a pillow in the shape of Hello Kitty’s face.
“There’s been a boom in luxury couches for larger dogs, so we thought there might be room for something new,” said a Sanrio (the company behind Hello Kitty) spokesman.
