Barney’s Bling is matching jewelry for people and their pets using genuine diamonds and precious metals, created by southern California resident, Bridget Livingston.
The concept was born in 2007, when Bridget met her baby Barney, a Yorkie, while on vacation in Chicago. She spoiled her new best friend with cashmere sweaters and organic treats, but noticed that his jewelry kept falling apart.
She saw an opportunity as she searched Los Angeles’ finest pet stores unable to find some real quality “bling” for Barney…so she took it upon herself to create her own. Bridget also decided to add in some matching bling for herself as an extra treat.
The signature design is based on the concept that each pet makes a paw print on their owner’s heart. The entire collection is about connecting the hearts of people and their pets in an elegant and sophisticated manner. Barney’s Bling even offers “Daddy jewelry,” which has a more masculine feel…the necklace comes on a leather rope instead of a 16” chain.
Matching t-shirts for pets and owners as well as bling collars, leashes, and even custom designs for the discerning customer are all available, with prices ranging from $40 to $4,850.
Bridget and Barney believe in karma and charitable causes, so 10% of proceeds are donated to Perfect Pet Rescue and Autism Speaks, to benefit both people and pets ^_^
