Mercedes celebrates F1 success with the special edition Mercedes-AMG A Class, a “Silver Arrow for the road.” The Mercedes-AMG A 45 4Matic Petronas 2015 World Champion Edition offers four-wheel drive, 381hp, a 0-100km/h time of 4.2 seconds plus a host of unique racing-inspired features and will be going on sale as a memento of the momentous 2015 F1 season.

This year has seen the Mercedes Petronas F1 team perform a clean sweep, coming first and second in the drivers’ championship and clinching the equally coveted constructors’ trophy too — and all before the end of the season.

To celebrate, the company has developed a “Silver Arrow for the road” in the shape of a flagship A Class decked out in an F1-derived external aerodynamic streamlining package plus 19-inch alloys and a special silver, black and green paint finish to match the F1 cars that that raced away to this year’s title.

This color scheme continues inside as contrasting stitching on the special performance seats with increased lateral support and race-focused steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker.

“With the World Champion Edition we would like to share with our customers our delight and pride in the strong performance of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team,” said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG. “This is a way for every fan to share the success of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.”

The car will go on sale for just four months, starting in January, and prices will start at €65,402.40 plus local taxes.
