Karl Lagerfeld has been fraternising with the enemy and proves that he is just as good as a photographer as he is a designer with this new Dior Homme by Kris Van Assche Spring Summer 2009 ad campaign that he lensed.

The campaign features Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira.

Lagerfeld is an outspoken fan of the label – he credits losing 42kg in weight to his desire to wear it. “I suddenly wanted to dress differently, to wear clothes designed by Hedi Slimane,” he said at the time in 2007.

“But these fashions, modelled by very, very slim boys – and not men my age – required me to lose at least 40kg.”

Having photographed campaigns for his own label and Chanel since the Eighties, Karl Lagerfeld is one of the most respected names in the industry.
