The world’s longest continuous cruise is set to depart from London on 31st August 2019, taking travellers to 59 countries in every continent apart from Antarctica in a 8 month long world voyage.

The Viking Sun Cruise sails across the skyline of Shanghai.

The 930-passenger Viking Sun cruise will venture to explore a route of 119 international ports, from the British Isles, through the Caribbean, cross to Southeast Asia and more.

After exploring the coastlines of the Americas, the ship will depart across the Pacific to French Polynesia, New Zealand and Australia. After which, guests will discover ports in Southeast Asia, India and parts of Northern Africa. The cruise then maneuvers its way back to London via Spain and Portugal in 2020.

The red line marks the route for this ultimate world voyage.

While this isn’t the Viking‘s first around-the-world cruise, the length of this upcoming journey is almost double that of the previous itineraries.

There will be ample time to make yourself at home on the ship—the Viking Sun — which can fit up to 930 guests in 465 staterooms. There are plenty of luxurious services and dining options to keep you occupied throughout the days of the longest world voyage.

The eight restaurants includes the likes of fine dining, international fare, regional dishes at The Kitchen Table, multi-course tasting menus at the Chef’s Table and Italian at Manfredi’s. You can also get classic burgers at the Pool Grill, afternoon tea at the Wintergarden and Norwegian deli food at Mamsen’s, and of course, 24-hour room service for those who prefer the privacy in their cabin.

Have a leisure afternoon tea at the Wintergarden on the Viking Sun.

Of course, not all 245 days will be spent abroad, with 22 nights in the itinerary planned onland in cities across the world.

The price starts at $92,990 per pax, which includes the cost of shore excursions in each port and free unlimited Wi-Fi, business class flights to reach the ship, transfers, on-board gratuities, service fees and several other extras. Book before the end of 2018, and you’ll even receive $4,000 in shore excursion credits and $2,000 in shipboard credits for spa services and more for your world voyage.
