Italian luxury goods maker Salvatore Ferragamo has launched its first jewellery collection in collaboration with Bulgari.
Ferragamo, which listed in Milan in June a week after Prada debuted in Hong Kong, said it hoped its new collection would help meet demand from fast-growing Asia.
“I think this collection will be successful, especially among Chinese clients”, Chief Executive Michele Norsa told Reuters at the presentation during Milan fashion week.

Christie’s has revealed the main lots of the jewelry collection of Oscar-winning actress Elizabeth Taylor to be auctioned in New York this December.
Select highlights from the 269-piece collection went on an eight-city tour including London, Los Angeles, Dubai, Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong, beginning in Moscow.

Christy Turlington is back for the third consecutive season as face of Louis Vuitton High Jewelry — here’s a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot of the F/W ads.
Turlington, who like her fellow “original supermodels” still stars in campaigns on a regular basis, can currently also be seen in Maybelline’s beauty ads.


Harry Winston Diamond Corp, the Canadian mining group which owns the jewelers, has this week announced plans to build a flagship store in Shanghai.
And it will be hard to miss, boasting a 12-meter high façade a company spokesman says will be like a “billboard to the world, a billboard to the Chinese people.”
The 460-square-meter flagship store — to be opened “before January” next year — will be supplemented by a salon inside the lobby of the Peninsula Shanghai hotel.


A dazzling pearl and diamond tiara once owned by a celebrated member of Britain’s de Rothschild empire on Wednesday sold at a London auction for £1,161,250.
The bejewelled item belonged to Hannah de Rothschild, whom was at one time the richest woman in Britain and whom went on to marry dashing aristocrat and future prime minister the Earl of Rosebery.
Three pieces of jewellery owned by the countess of Rosebery were sold at Wednesday’s “Important Jewel Sale” at Christie’s auction house.
