Wealthy Chinese travelers prefer to stay at the Hyatt and Marriott chains of hotels, according to New York-based wealth research firm Luxury Institute.

The new Refugia Lodge, opened this month, brings a luxurious establishment to the Chiloé archipelago, an island in southern Chile.

This October luxe hotelier JW Marriott is opening a 153-room hotel in Cusco, at an altitude of 11,154 ft (3,399 m) above sea level.

The Four Seasons hotel brand continues its expansion in China with the opening of its first property in Beijing. The opening is scheduled for September 28.

Located in the Lingmahe area of the Central Business District, the Four Seasons Beijing will be the 88th property of the brand worldwide.

After the Tiffany, Dior and Bottega Veneta suites, the St. Regis Hotel is unveiling The Bentley Suite this fall in its New York location.

The theme suite will include décor touches reminiscent of designs by British carmaker Bentley Motors such as black leather tile floors and a sleigh bed made out of Bentley’s signature burled wood.

The Ritz-Carlton group will open its first Tunisian hotel in Sidi Bou Saïd (outskirts of Tunis) in 2014. The Ritz-Carlson Tunis Carthage will offer 129 suites, seven restaurants, a vast ballroom and a wellness center featuring a spa.
