Magnolia Bakery is widely credited with kicking off the worldwide cupcake trend, thanks in large part to Carrie and Miranda’s shout-out to the heavily frosted mini cakes on “Sex and the City.”

In the movie 2005 “Prime” with Uma Thurman and Meryl Streep, the shop also makes repeat appearances as the supplier of baked goods for one of the characters who throws pies at his ex-girlfriends.

Meanwhile, it’s not the first fashion-dessert collaboration of its kind.

Earlier this year, French pastry house Ladurée enlisted Italian label Pucci to design “dolce vita” gift boxes.

Last year, Lagerfeld designed a cake in the shape of a lipstick to mark the 10th anniversary of Alain Ducasse’s Tokyo restaurant Beige.
