Audi presented the design concept of their Soccer Table (Foosball Table) back in 2008 and today they have announced they will put it into production.

Over the last year, the Audi Design team worked closely with table soccer manufacturer Leonhart, which has been building tables since 1949.

According to the German manufacturer, the table meets the standards demanded by professional tournaments.

The Audi table features the classic 22 players and a green field, but the wooden core is complimented by brushed aluminum and and high-strength plastic.

The Audi table also implements more curves than a traditional table, as the sides bend inwards towards the middle.

“It’s a attractive task to transfer our cars’ design language to other day-to-day articles, and the results are often surprising!” Wolfgang Egger, Head of Audi Group Design, said in a release.

The Audi Design soccer table will be produced in a limited series of just 20 units at a price of EUR12,900.
