The 91st edition of Italian menswear tradeshow Pitti Immagine Uomo will honor Italian fashion entrepreneur Ciro Paone, founder of legendary bespoke menswear specialist Kiton. Fashion journalist Angelo Flaccavento is the Artistic Director of the project, titled ‘Due o tre cose che so di Ciro’ (Two or three things I know about Ciro).

Ciro Paone is the founder of luxury ready-to-wear and made-to-measure label Kiton. He founded the company back in Naples, 1956, alongside business partner Antonio Carola. His brand later became a global menswear business, specializing in suits. Kiton’s product lines mix vintage fabrics and bespoke Neapolitan tailoring. The exhibition will shine a spotlight on Paone’s successful tastes, passions and career.

“We at Pitti Immagine have always found Ciro Paone to be representative of friendliness, elegance, vision, and courage,” says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “He represents the best in contemporary tailoring, and at the same time is one of the most enlightened entrepreneurs in Italian fashion: a history that starts in Naples, and from here, goes on to conquer the world.”

Also at the upcoming edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, British designer Paul Smith will be a ‘Special Guest’, launching his new PS by Paul Smith collection at the event. ‘Menswear Guest Designer’ Tim Coppens will debut his new Fall/Winter 2017 menswear collection. Italian lifestyle label Golden Goose Deluxe Brand will also participate in the event with an installation at Stazione Leopolda. It will commemorate the brand’s 10th year in the sneaker industry.

Pitti Immagine Uomo runs January 10-13 2017 in Florence.
