Lacroix’s ready-to-wear and haute couture might be things of the past following the French fashion label’s bankruptcy last year, but the label will be branching out into stationery, sunglasses, and home decoration.
According to fashion trade paper Women’s Wear Daily, Christian Lacroix has already signed deals for all four collections.
His sunglasses range in collaboration with Hong Kong-based label Mondottica will launch in September, New York company Libretto Holdings will introduce Lacroix-branded stationery the same month, and his home textiles will be released together with England’s Designers Guild next year.

Former online shopping portal eLuxury, which closed last year, has been transformed into a web magazine called Nowness, officially launching Feb 25.
According to the site’s owner, French luxe conglomerate LVMH, Nowness will be covering the fields of fashion, art, design, culture, travel, beauty, food and wine, music, and entertainment.
In the run-up to its proper launch, the new web destination has been running a special story each day, including sneak peeks behind the scenes at Dior or recent New Generation winner Peter Pilotto.

The Alexander McQueen x Puma Black Tech KO offers a techy yet minimal high top sneaker in luxurious black leather, which carefully balances the sportswear and high fashion elements of the design to create a shoe that for once will actually appeal to their target market.
From fashion design’s big stars such as Matthew Williamson, who presented timelessly elegant cuts combined with colorful prints, and Vivienne Westwood’s punky chic to London’s new stars Mark Fast and Kinder Aggugini, the edgy capital’s fashion week kick-off didn’t disappoint.

The latest collaboration from Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami for Spring Summer 2010 is the Cosmic Blossom Collection.
On a bright, block colour background, Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram flowers jostle playfully with smiling flower faces, a recurrent theme in Murakami’s art, which famously fuses manga graphics with traditional Japanese pictorial motifs.
Serigraphed onto the fabric, it will come in rose, bleu and violet and will be released on April 15, 2010.
