Starting this month with the annual event in Brussels, 2015 will be a busy year for the international automotive industry.

For US-based car fans, most of the action will take place in the first quarter of the year between Detroit, Chicago and New York.

In Europe, the two most important shows will be held in Geneva in March and then in Frankfurt in September.

As is customary every two years, Paris will take a break in 2015, passing the torch to Frankfurt, just as Beijing will step aside to allow Shanghai to take the spotlight in China.
