Peugeot x Beneteau presents the Sea Drive Concept

When Peugeot and Beneteau, a leader in the leisure craft industry, combine their expertise; one in building an ergonomic cockpit of the Sea Drive Concept; and the other in the boat’s steering station, the design of the new iCockpit is amazing.

Modelling after the success of i-Cockpit®, Peugeot Design Lab built an all-new ergonomic cockpit for Beneteau, melding functions, intuitive and natural handling of the Peugeot i-Cockpit® coupled with Beneteau’s ship control® technology. The all-new Sea Drive Concept plays a part in heralding in the future of a new boating experience.

Design at its finest to deliver level driving pleasure, agility and better driving concentration

Peugeot started off with the car cockpit design after undertaking in-depth studies some years ago and the quest gave rise to an innovative interior layout: the new Peugeot i-Cockpit® that is modern looking with remarkably clean lines, complementing the high-tech dashboard.

The seats are crafted using quality and choice of materials based on the GT trim level, featuring Nappa leather, copper top stitching, accents of chrome and satin. While the interior comprises several key features, such as a compact steering wheel for easier handling and a head-up display to display relevant information at eye-level so that drivers can keep their eyes on the coast and concentrate on steering. Plus a large touchscreen packed with intuitive controls, making it easier to use all the on-board features.

The Sea Drive Concept developed by PEUGEOT Design Lab illustrates a new way of designing a boat’s steering station for the ease of the driver’s navigation and on-board comfort.
