Known for his large-scale art installations involving geometric patterns and interesting shapes, Swiss artist Felice Varini recently opened a new solo exhibitions featuring a series of optical illusions that are designed to be viewed from a single location. Using various shapes and colors, he paints his installation in such a way that the overall anamorphic shape created appears 3 dimensional. The artist’s work is mostly influenced by the architecture and environment of his artwork and has created various works in unusual spaces, adding to the dramatic and emergent quality of the geometric illusions. 

His geometric pieces are installed in both interior and exterior spaces around the Grande halle de la Villette within Parc de la Villette, the third largest park in Paris, in September. Learn more about Varini and his exhibition here.
