Katy Perry has been signed up as a brand ambassador for GHD’s popular range of hair straighteners and appears in a glamourous ad campaign.
In what is a match made in over-the-top glamour heaven, LaChapelle had Perry, known for her wacky fashion and beauty choices, pose in a beauty wonderland.
Styled in a Sleeping Beauty-inspired set-up, she wakes up in a different era in each of the three images, wearing hairstyles from either the 1950s, ’60s, or ’70s.

Audemars Piguet has just announced the appointment of NBA basketball player LeBron James as the new global brand ambassador.
In addition to representing the brand on the international stage, LeBron will collaborate with Audemars Piguet to create a special limited-edition watch.
LeBron has decided to donate the proceeds from any future auctions of his timepieces to his namesake charity, the LeBron James Family Foundation and its children’s related activities.


Former Chanel model and Parisienne par excellence Inès de la Fressange is putting the Paris back in L’Oréal with a new partnership announced March 30.
Paradoxically for a youth-obsessed industry, 53-year-old Fressange has rejuvenated fashion brands such as Roger Vivier, but L’Oréal hopes for the La Parisienne author to exude “timeless French chic” as ambassadress for the brand.

Karl Lagerfeld is directing Magnum ice cream’s latest advertising campaign, which features American actress Rachel Bilson.
The three-piece film series will be revealed on April 21st during the Tribeca Film Festivalfor the debut of an original film series.
Simultaneous to the exclusive premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the lead film will be released to viewers around the world on Magnum’s Facebook page.

Steven Spielberg was recently spotted in St. Barth’s and St. Maarten aboard his new toy, the 86-metre Oceanco superyacht Seven Seas.
Featuring naval architecture by Azure and an interior design scheme by Nuvolari & Lenard, the ship was launched by the Dutch shipbuilder a few months back.
Said to have cost about $200 million, the yacht features an infinity pool with a 15-ft. glass wall that doubles as a movie screen.


Ian Purkayastha’s teenage revolution didn’t involve rock groups, rebelling against his parents or embarrassing fashion experiments.
For him it was: “black truffle ravioli with foie gras sauce”.
And three years later, aged 18, Purkayastha not only remembers the “amazing” taste of that dish, but he’s turned himself into one of America’s leading truffle tycoons.
