The first 2010 Audi R8 V-8 headed for the States was auctioned off last weekend at the Boca Raton Concours d’ Elegance for an astonishing half-million dollars.
The lucky winning bidder for the first R8 V-10 in the U.S. also receives an official certificate of authenticity.
Audi of America was so impressed with the interest in the first car that a second R8 V-10 was offered up and sold that evening.
The car will be built at Audi’s Neckarsulm, Germany, facility. The first wave of R8 V-10s are expected to roll into dealers in early 2010. The car has a projected retail price of $180,000.
