After successful design collaborations with the likes of Mulberry, Rodarte, and Zac Posen, Target is readying the launch of Missoni‘s collection for September 13.

The lookbook for the 400-piece range, which includes clothes for men, women, girls, and babies as well as dishwear, a blanket, and even a bike, comes courtesy of new Tumblr blog All The Way Up Here, written by model Marina, who also wears the clothes in the campaign.

Norwegian Hosts First Twitter-Themed Cruise

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced plans for the world’s first at-sea tweetup for cruise-loving social media enthusiasts.

The SeaTweetup will be a three-night cruise around the Bahamas and is billed by the organizers as the world’s meeting for Twitter users at sea.

The cruise, departing Miami on November 18, will be hosted by Norwegian Cruise Line’s 2,002-passenger Norwegian Sky and is organized by, among others, social media TV show SocialBuzzTV and digital media consultants Social Esquire.

Korean Air A380 superjumbo

Korean Air is to inaugurate its new A380 “superjumbo” on a route between New York City and Seoul this week.

The airline, which is the seventh in the world to fly the enormous Airbus aircraft, will wave off the first A380 flight from New York across the Pacific Ocean on August 9, launching what it describes as a “new age of air travel.”

It will be the first A380 service between Asia and New York, carrying some 407 passengers — considerably less than the 525 that the A380 is capable of.

The Audi Urban Concept

Luxury German auto brand Audi has released the first images of a new electric concept car.

The “Urban Concept”  is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September as part of a wider study on city mobility.

A lightweight model, the cockpit has been made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, which Audi says was the product of a new design process based on the principles of minimizing weight and increasing efficiency.

21804 Pacific Coast Highway Malibu

A California mansion could become the most expensive US property to be sold at auction when it goes on the block next month with a starting bid of $22 million.

The 10,500 square-foot beachside house — originally listed at $65 million — includes six bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a theater, a 75-foot (25-meter) two-lane lap pool, a gymnasium and a library with an aquarium.

The winning bidder would count Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand and Sting as neighbors after moving into “Billionaire Beach,” part of the upscale coastal town of Malibu, near Los Angeles.

Less than a month after announcing its partnership with Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana, e-tailer Yoox has said it is readying an online destination to shop all of Armani’s ranges under one virtual roof.

The new armani.com Online Store “Powered by YOOX Group” will be launched in the second half of 2011.

Armani.com will be mainly active in Europe, the US, Japan and China, and will feature the Giorgio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Junior, EA7, Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans brands.

Infiniti is to team up with a group of leading chefs to add extra elegance to a new concept set to be unveiled as part of the Monterey Auto Week in California.

The Japanese brand is working with Hearst Magazines to showcase the new Infiniti JX Concept, which will be revealed at the 61st Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

As part of the reveal, chocolate, cheese and wine tasting sessions have been scheduled, as well as cooking demonstrations from US celebrity chefs including Tyler Florence, Marc Forgione, and Andrew Carmellini.

For its fall 2011 campaign, Asian retail giant Lane Crawford has assembled five of China’s top models: Fei Fei Sun, Liu Wen, Ming Xi, Shu Pei and Xiao Wen Ju.

The ad, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, depicts them wearing a palette of black and neutrals from brands like Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Lanvin.

A five-seat box at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London is up for sale for a princely £550,000 ($900,000), the estate agents said Tuesday.

Harrods Estates described the box, which it is claimed contains the best seats in the concert hall, as the “ultimate gift” for a loved one.

Although the same money would buy a two-bedroomed flat in the exclusive Chelsea district not far away, the 865-year lease should give the owner and their descendants enough time to make it worthwhile.

W Hotels has announced yet another addition to its musical offering, in the form of a global tour of DJs, in association with energy drink Burn.

The hotel is sending six DJ competition winners on a week-long crash course dubbed the DJ Lab, which begins at the W Barcelona and concludes at the burn studios Hacienda in Ibiza, the Spanish island renowned for its clubbing.

After the DJ lab, the up-and-coming DJs will crisscross the globe, calling in at W hotels to perform at exclusive events and other occasions from later this month.

In April 2009, Louis Vuitton installed a trio of beehives on the roof of its Parisian headquarters. Since then the hives have welcomed as many as 200,000 bees.

Hives installed in the middle of a city can actually yield up to four times the amount of honey those in the country produce according to French beekeepers association.

Two years later, the buzzy guests have gathered 75kg of nectar and produced enough honey that Vuitton decided to bottle the fruits of its apiculture.
