Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher stars alongside top model Alessandra Ambrosio in Colcci’s fall/winter campaign, released via the Brazilian label’s Facebook page.

Photographed by Steven Klein, the ads are deemed a big improvement from last season’s ads that featured a very oily Gisele Bundchen, but some fans are commenting that the new release looks too much like a Calvin Klein campaign.

Colcci is one of the biggest fashion brands in Brazil, with its fashion shows constituting one of the highlights of each Sao Paulo fashion week.

Lady Gaga hit Mugler‘s runway on March 2, while premiering her new track, “Government Hooker.”

A live broadcast showed backstage preparations before following Gaga onto the stage where she walked among fashion models, dramatically demonstrating the flowy fabrics of Nicola Formichetti’s creations for the fashion house.

What came down the runway was not as alienesque or ‘anatomic’ as expected — apart from the fully tattooed Rick Genest’s appearance and the occasional sculpted pointy ears of course.

Apple‘s ailing chief executive Steve Jobs made a surprise appearance at a company event here on Wednesday to unveil a new version of the iPad that is thinner, lighter and features video cameras.

“We’ve been working on this product quite awhile and I just didn’t want to miss a great day,” said Jobs, who appeared gaunt but energetic.

The new iPad 2 features front- and rear-facing video cameras to enable video chat and is thinner than the previous version.

Hendricks, who has previously starred in raincoat label London Fog’s ads, said of the collection: “I love that there are dramatic pieces such as the crown and the heart necklace as well as more simple pieces such as the acorn earrings.”

“As Palladium is a naturally white metal, the pieces really sparkle under the lights and I cannot wait to wear them on the red carpet!”

Part of MB&F’s HM3 (Horological Machine No. 3) design, the watch was done in partnership/kinship with Laurent Picciotto (Chronopassion, Paris).

The HM3 ReBel is a limited edition of 18 pieces in black PVD-treated white gold, blackened movement and 22K gold rotor.

That’s “ReBel” as in R for right (hand), B for Black (case). According to MB&F, “The black PVD-coated ReBel is a distinctive, rock ‘n roll mirror-image of the HM3 designed to be worn on the right wrist, as a few individualists out there want to do.”

Teodorín Obiang, the son of Equatorial Guinea’s dictator of 30 years commissioned plans to build a superyacht costing $380 million.

According to Timeslive, it’s nearly three times what the country spends on health and education each year.

German company Kusch Yachts has been asked to build the yacht, housing a cinema, restaurant, bar and swimming pool, though construction has not yet started.

Toyota took another step towards a new sports model March 1 with the unveiling of the FT-86 II concept at the Geneva Motor Show.

The biggest hint yet of the styling expected from a new production sports model, the FT-86 II was described as a model that paid homage to Toyota’s previous sports cars of the past such as the 2000 GT of the 1960s.

The model features a long, low hood and rear-set cabin and measures 4,235 mm long and 1,270mm high.

Italian sports marque Lamborghini has unveiled the new flagship of its lineup at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will be delivered to the first customers in late summer 2011, the company confirmed March 1, describing the model as a “new reference among super sports cars.”

The model uses a carbon fiber monocoque (integrated chassis) which gives the Aventador a weight of 1,575 kg and features the same upward-opening doors used on its predecessors such as the Diablo and Murcielago.

Hotel Indigo, a ’boutique’ style brand which aims for individuality with its properties, operates 38 hotels around the world, with the majority in big cities.

The February 24 announcement of its entry into Phuket, one of Thailand’s most popular destinations for foreign tourists, is a clear sign that it believes it can appeal to all vacationers, not just those on a city break.

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump has just purchased a Boeing 757 airplane from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen for the small fee of $100 million!

Trump, who owns a Boeing 727 with gold-plated sinks, a master bedroom and more, is currently retrofitting the aircraft with plans for it to go into service in a month or so.

The plane’s size will be handy for cross-country trips if Trump decides to run for president on the Republican ticket. He says he will make that decision in June. (He didn’t run that year, waiting till the 2016 cycle to mount his challenge. The plane, now dubbed Trump Force One, served him well during the primary campaign and actually kept his costs down, overall)

Spain is still Europe’s most popular place to stay, according to figures released February 28 by the European Union.

In total, 268 million nights were spent in Spain’s hotels by travelers last year, a rise of 6.4 percent on 2009’s figures.

The second most popular place to lay your head was Italy with 245 million nights spent in 2010, although this was a slight fall on 2009’s figures.

French house DJ duo Daft Punk is teaming up with Coca-Cola in the design of a new line of soda dubbed “Club Coke.”

Coca-Cola posted a video featuring Daft Punk beats and the austere gold and silver bottle design, which mimics the helmets the duo wear during live performances.

The new beverage is set to be released next month and will be available at dance clubs across Europe, as previous “Club Coke” lines have been.
